Terms & conditions
Last updated 17 September 2026
These terms cover 1:1 LAMDA and MN Awards lessons with Ella Plummer. They're written plainly, and they're here so everyone knows where they stand - not to catch anyone out.
Agreeing a lesson time, or paying an invoice, means you've accepted these terms on behalf of yourself and your child.
The short version
- Lessons are 1:1 over Zoom, booked around a regular weekly slot.
- Invoices go out for lessons attended and are due within 14 days.
- Give 24 hours' notice to move a lesson - later than that, it's charged.
- Either parties can stop regular lessons at any time.
- A parent or guardian books lessons and is responsible for payment.

Who these terms are between
Lessons are provided by Ella Plummer, trading as EM Coaching (“EM Coaching”, “Ella”). The other party is the parent or guardian who arranges the lessons and is responsible for paying for them. The student is the child who attends.
Questions about anything here can go to ellamaeacts@gmail.com before lessons start.
Booking and trial lessons
Lessons are arranged directly with Ella by email. A time is confirmed once she has replied to agree it.
A first trial lesson lets you and your child see if the lessons are a good fit. It's a free session and carries no obligation to continue.
Lessons and scheduling
- Lessons are 1:1 with the student, held over Zoom. Each lesson is 30 minutes, unless a different length is agreed.
- A parent or guardian is welcome to be present or nearby at any time.
- Lessons are not recorded.
Lessons run to a regular weekly slot agreed at the start. Ella will let you know in advance about term dates, holidays or any week she can't teach, and those lessons aren't charged.
Fees and payment
The lesson rate is agreed with you before lessons begin and is set per student.
Invoices are issued for lessons your child has attended, normally monthly. Payment is by bank transfer within 14 days of the invoice date, using the details on the invoice. If an invoice is more than 14 days overdue, lessons may be paused until it's settled.
Changing or cancelling a lesson
To move or cancel a lesson, let Ella know at least 24 hours beforehand and she'll rearrange it where she can. Lessons cancelled with less notice, or missed without warning, are charged in full. If Ella has to cancel, that lesson is rearranged or credited to your next invoice.
Your right to cancel (cooling-off)
Because lessons are arranged at a distance, you have a legal right to cancel the arrangement within 14 days of it being agreed, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, without giving a reason.
If you ask for lessons to start within that 14-day period, you agree that any lessons already taught by the time you cancel are payable. Once all agreed lessons have been delivered the right to cancel no longer applies. To cancel, just email ellamaeacts@gmail.com.
Students under 18 and safeguarding
- Lessons are booked by a parent or guardian aged 18 or over, who confirms they can agree these terms for the student.
- Ella holds an enhanced DBS certificate and follows safer-working practice for online lessons with young people.
- A parent or guardian is responsible for making sure the student is ready for each lesson with a working device and a suitable, supervised space.
How information about you and your child is handled is set out in the privacy policy.
Getting the most from lessons
Lessons work best when the student attends regularly, on time, and does the small amount of practice set between lessons. Ella may decline to continue lessons if they become unworkable - for example persistent non-attendance, unpaid invoices, or behaviour that makes teaching unreasonable - and will always explain why.
Lesson materials
Notes, exercises and resources Ella shares are for the student's own use in their lessons and exam preparation. Published texts and exam set pieces remain the property of their own rights holders.
Ending regular lessons
Either side can end regular lessons at any point by telling the other - a half terms (6 weeks) notice is appreciated so the slot can be offered on. Any lessons already taught are invoiced as usual.
Responsibility
Ella will teach with reasonable care and skill. She isn't liable for a student's exam results.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time; the date at the top changes with them. Anything significant that affects lessons already arranged will be told to you directly, and the rate for lessons you are already booked in for won't change without your agreement.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute can be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
If anything here isn't clear, email ellamaeacts@gmail.com and Ella will talk it through before lessons start.
